Great stuff Bod (and Val)(and Ritchie)
Enjoyable report and am delighted you researched that route. I think Gavin did similar and maybe time to revise the advised WH route so we can all avoid the Jonny bog.

Many thanks Scotjamie, Gavin used exactly this route for the descent off BH after climbing the pair, many thanks to him as well :D . I read his report on the friday evening to help confirm our ideas .... he's a clever boy that Gavin99 :clap: :D :D

If I remember right think we used Gavins route as well and that boulder looked familar to where we headed.
Some cracking photos in the snow :D

A cracking boulder to head for John, had it in my sight almost all the way up from the track....nice lunch spot too just above it :wink: :D :D

Great day for this trip Bod - you certainly timed it well - was also up here in winter and can remember the road being slippery but worth it in the end - cheers :)

Nice one, Great Pics and report. Just back from it today as high pressure was in and heard the peat hags were a nightmare so decided best to do it in Winter. Unfortunately, snow was up to my waist at some bits making progress slow.

After deciding to stop at Creag Mhor summit instead of continuing to Beinn Heasgarnich it was nice to see another direct route for another day.
Thank you for the info and your route, still a tiring push up but a great interesting route with several higher shelves on route to summit, winter must have been fun
