Completed the full round of the Lochnagar Munros, starting with the Walkhighland walk above before extending it and taking in a number of additional "tops" on the way: Cuidhe Crom 3552 - Carn Cac Beag 1155m - Carn a Choire Bhoidheach 1110m – Cac Carn Mor (Lochnagar) 3768 - Cac Carn Beag (Lochnagar) 1155m (3789) - Carn a' Choire Bhoidheach (White Mounth) 1110m (3650’) - Carn an t-Sagairt Beag 3424 Carn an t-Sagairt Mor 3430 - Cairn Bannoch 3314 - Cairn of Gowal 3242 - Broad Cairn 3268.
Set out from Spittal of Glenmuick. Initially, it was quite misty due to the very early start and a little care was needed with navigation at one point, despite the excellent path. By the time I reached the first top I was above the clouds and the views were fantastic. Up until this point I'd petty much had the mountain to myself. I saw virtually nobody after leaving Cac Carn Mor on the return until I reached Loch Muick at the end of the day. A really full, superb, long day in excellent weather, taking in all five Munros.
