Planned to do a round of donalds near Meggat Reservoir but the weather had other ideas. Fresh snowfall over night made the landscape stunning but required a change of plan. My mate and I decided to follow the track through the valley, up onto the ridge and onto Dollar Law.
Getting further into the valley the snow got deeper, but the sun was out and the valley looked stunning following fresh snowfall!!
Reached the summit after a hard slog and rewarded with stunning views all round. This didnt last however and the weather closed in while on the summit reducing visibility to near zero, with fresh snow falling all round us. We didnt linger on the summit and headed back to the comfort and safety of the valley track, making for the car as quickly as our legs could carry us.
All in all a great day in the hills with some stunning scenary.
