We were on Tom a'Choinich and Toll Creagach on Tuesday and wished we had brought the tent as we could tell it was going to be a stunning sunset.....and from your video it was. Oh well, maybe next time! Hope it's not another 5 months til the next high pressure.

Thanks Heather - I actually thought the two or three days of high pressure earlier this week would have stayed around till the weekend to enable some nice winter pictures from reports - silly me!! Hope you enjoyed your outing - look forward to reading your report :)

Thanks

Not sure my 60l is going to be enough for over nighters"

I do lots of high winter camps, I easily get all my gear, food etc. (including the same tent) in a 44lt rucksack.
Last week I did one and managed with a 30lt one (with tent on the outside)

Superp video as per usual  :D

Thanks Mountain star - have to agree I could have gone with a smaller pack especially with new filter :) Hoping for more good spring weather soon - although must say the midge was out on this trip and I reckon it could be a midge mad year this year! Stay on the top an stay away from the midge may be my motto! (that's if the weather ever improves!!

Another fantastic report  , I really enjoyed the video report, :D you're a dab hand with the GoPro and the editing is all very professional looking, I've not experienced "wild" camping on the hills but these report's certainly make it look worth the effort. I think my next visit to the hills maybe a pre-dawn trip just to get a sunrise experience...
