Left house with all intention of climbing all 4 munros on this round, parked nice and early with Jnr and my 2 dogs at Balsporran Cottage, crossed over the railway line and up Coire Fhar following the landrover track, and then took to the hillside NE where a faint path takes you past a small cairn that has been built by someone to a friend overlooking the A9,and then continue W to the summit cairn, its well worth walking a short way past the cairn and look down to Loch Ericht and across to Ben Alder, brill view.
Back to cairn and then descended S across a flat ridge and then climb the NE ridge to the summit and along the cairn at the far end of ridge,by this time my knee was gone, and all thoughts of carrying on and do the other 2 munros had gone, once again my gammy knee had got the better of me :(
