Alas, due to a lack of time I could not go back to Knoydart this time. Arrochar became the make shift solution. My original plan had been to climb the Beinn Ime on tuesday and The Cobbler and the Beinn Narnain on wednesday. Despite the bad weather forecast it seemed feasible. On tuesday my trip started in Tarbet. Af first it was dry, but the rain and wind did not wait for long. In the beginning it seemed possible but as I passed the deer fence, heading towards Beinn Ime, the weather worsened. It was snowing and storming. I walked up hill for another half hour but when I was around the 700 metres I decided to return. Tomorrow is a new day and the mountain will still be there.

Pity about that - sometime it can be worth going on if you think it'll clear but other times best just to stop - hope you get a good day when you return - cheers :)

Hi Rockhopper! Many thanks for the reply. We've already booked the next trip. At the end of April I'm hoping to climb the Ben More on Mull with my daughter.
