This is probably only a route for the baggers, a 7km walk in along forest roads and then a 7km walk out on the tarmac alongside Fruid Reservoir. Unfortunately the walk wasn't even enhanced by stunning views from the summits as I spent the day in the clag until dropping back down towards Fruid.
Having not done much walking in the last six months, and been fortunate with the good weather last summer, I'd forgotten how much of a pain navigating in 50m visibility, on featureless round hills, can be. I'm not sure what tired me out more - the walking or the concentrating!
I did manage a few photos:
Erie Hill from the slopes of Garelet Dod.
Fruid Reservoir from Strawberry Hill.
Fruid Reservoir looking north west.
Fruid Reservoir looking south east.
