Great and very informative report (apologies for the belated congratulations!)

I discovered the value of an axe on my last walk where there was a lot of very slippery greenery!!!

... sorry if I almost put you off, glad you got the views. The problems I had in 2014 were specifically to do with the soft snow conditions - we couldn't use the path and the alternative was very steep and slippy. The snow may have melted by now on Gairich? I do find this time of year quite difficult, with the snow beginning to get too soft for ice axe and crampons but still being really slippery underfoot. Roll on spring.

There but for the grace of God. Glad it all ended well. I was on the two across the water on Saturday and Gairich looked stunning. Planning on returning in July to climb it.
