Day 3 of a Club weekend at Crianlarich. Ian and I had planned to climb Ben vane on the way home from Crianlarich, but decided to do a sub 2000 instead for 2 reasons - Ben Vane was shrouded in low cloud, and someone took my waterproof overtrousers from the drying room by mistake!

Cruach Tairbert was a gentle alternative with great views along the Loch. A easy is steep walk from the car park by the old church, where there is a map showing the waymarked routes. Walk under the railway line and follow the loop path uphill until you cross the burn, then turn left through the forest on a well trodden path. The return is by the same route.
