Took my wife to Skye in Feb for her 30th. The conditions were'nt very good for driving and we ended up being stuck in snow drifts at the Cluanie Dam. Got to Skye eventually though and there was a little splattering of snow. Stayed at the Bosville in Portree ( I would highly recommend it) and awoke to Skye being covered in deep crisp snow !
Our plan was to go to the Quiraing for the day but we were informed the road would be impassible in the current conditions, so we headed for The Storr. Only managed to get to the 'old man' before a blizzard closed in around us and we decided to head back down and back to Portree to sample some hebridean gold ! Cant wait to go back to Skye, the place will look completely different without the snow.
