oban bothy

Not done much this year due to work so just posting a video slid show that I done last year. We canoed from the west shore of loch morar to oban bothy. Didn't do any hills, just a bit of exploring about the place. A great relaxing place

Enjoyed that . That is definitely my preferred type of canoe (and weather) for another visit in the future!

The bothy is a very good one as well, would like to do it justice on my next visit.

Was getting back difficult? People have told me it's a long slow paddle back down the loch into the wind.

Aye, it was a bit of slog on the return journey. We tried to hug the shore for most of the way back and a good few stops. We returned on the Monday but if we were to head out on the sat or sun there would have been no chance we would have made it due to the wind, so there is a chance of getting stuck in there untill the wind dies down
