I took the opportunity this weekend to try out a good long walk in and out to test my fitness (or lack of)
The walk in was a bit non descript, forestry doesn't interest me that much but there was a few opportunities to have a look at river.
Once passed the firing range the path followed the river which then joined the main track by the time I'd hit the bridge the legs were nice and warm for the 1st steep section in about 5 miles, once up it was just a case following the bulldozed track pretty much all the way to the summit. The views south and east were good will Beinn a'ghlo keeping me company for the entire route. Oncew at the base of the final pull up, I left my rucksack at the bottom so I could make my up the loose rocks to the summit. The views from here were absolutely breathtaking. I had the entire summit to myself for about 15 mins before I spotted another group heading my way. I took this as an excuse to head back down.
I followed the track back down and followed it all the way back to the carpark.
