Combined this walk seamlessly with the Tomintoul Circular route to give a 7.5mile walk taking in the area around Tomintoul.

Wrapped up warm and ready for the off.

The highlight of this walk was the gorgeous Autumnal golds glittering in the crisp clear sunlight

Great Autumnal colours
and the great viewpoint popularised by Queen Victoria (a woman of impeccable taste).

Queen's viewpoint. Queen Vic sure had class!

The High Cairngorms notably Ben Avon stood out starkly in their blankets of snow on the horizon.

Spent ages taking photos given the beautiful light.

Can't think of a better way to explore the Tomintoul area.
