I parked in a lay-by at Greendale. Walking past the front of Buckbarrow, I saw what looked like a steep path going straight up to the top, so I gave it a try.Unfortunately, I got about half way up before deciding it was too steep to carry on, and had to crawl back down to the road.

From the 'summit' of Buckbarrow (it's not really a separate hill), a grassy path goes past a number of cairns and up to the top of Seatallan.

The paths leading from Seatallan towards Middle Fell are a bit indistinct, but once you get onto Middle Fell it's a nice little hill, with a good path going over the top, and great views.
