Another great days walking in Glen Orchy, we set out from the car at 9.00, the going was quite good, a bit boggy in some parts but not too bad. the views were stunning with reasonably clear views across Rannoch Moor to Ben Nevis, 2 weeks in a row we've been lucky enough to see it. The highlights of the walk were to see a Ptarmigan on the top of Beinn a' Chreachain in full summer colours, there were 2 but the other had moved away by the time I got on the top. On the way back to the car park we chose to come off the route and make our way through the forestry by joining the Livery Walk path, a decision that provided us with the second highlight of the day, Sand Martins, seen plenty nesting sights in the past but I'd never actually seen the birds. So all round a great day out on the hills and another two ticks on the sheet.
