After 5 days walking, 4 on the Cuillins my legs were weary and with Jimmy & Mo returning home i decided to stay one more night to walk Bla Bheinn, as the forecast was too good to return home. I set off at 7am from the car park taking the path to the col. I was too far over to the left as i climb Bla Bheinn and ended up going up some slopes with loose scree, but if you head where the rocks are there is a better path that leads up. This was the way i returned. After getting up the scree slopes i came to the top before the climb down the small gully and then back up again before reaching the summit. You can either go down the gully or go so far down and along a ledge, i returned along the ledge. The downside of starting off so early was the Cuillins were still in cloud but i still got some good views of the smaller Skye mountains. I then returned to the car down the scree ending up on my backside on four occasions as i slid and slipped my way down, putting most of it down to my knackered knees and legs. I passed a few groups heading up on my way done chatting to some and giving them pointers in avoiding the scree from the col. Returned to the car just over 4 hrs after setting off to make the long journey home.

I can't believe you did this in 4 hours   Pity you didn't come down from the main summit - it's easier on the knees than the scree from the lower top. Also you would have got the views of Clach Glas on the descent. Next time  Off to read your other Cuillin adventures now.

Hey thanks for all the replies folks, the tennis ball cysts behind my knees are now golf ball size. Still a great day out even with the pain
