Long drive in from Balqhuhidder Sta along single trackroad with locals unco-op for passing places. Longish walk along road from cp then a track past farm and up Inverlochlarig burn. No path so headed due W soon after fence and up steep slippy wet slopes. Sunny - and hot work initially- then heavens opened. Got wpf trs and new jacket on quickly to turn NNW up steeper slopes with a bit of easy - if precipitous - scrambling towards peak. Like Ben More a path emerges higher up. Poor vis but took evidence shot and after quick snack headed down clear path towards Cruach Ardrain. WH doubts Munro status due to short distance, but in poor vis and foul wet wind it felt far enough and certainly steep and rugged enough to count for me. Again quick snack and photo from top the awkward return to bealach in nil visibility and biting wind.
Stayed dry due to brill new jacket. Heade due E from bealach but met cliffs and gulleys to navigate around before reaching long track S back to farm and then along road to cp and that inhospitable road to the A85.
