Tha Creach Bheinn a 'Mhorbhairne a bheinn ionadail agamsa .....

The hills around A'Shuaineart and A'Mhorbhairne are exceptional , very quiet and under rated .

Creach Bheinn is one of my local hills can see its West ridge from my couch :D .

She is a grand spot and there are many routes onto the summit and on Sunday the weather was to good not to find another route up and down .

A wee hydro track at the back of Carnoch takes you South and up onto the moor .... not long before the views start to appear West

We took 2hrs to the summit and spent a while sitting in the sun on this Corbett and being sea side hard to beat for clarity, we could even see Arainn far to the South

An interesting feature is the "Colby Camp" on the Bealach Alltan Dubh , set up in the 1820's - 40's for mapping and a fair remains still to be seen !.

Not envious at all  .

I've often looked at the northern corries of these hills while driving through Glen Tarbert, but only ever been up from the south. Lovely day, and as you say, some hills to have on your doorstep 8)

Fantastic and what cracking views. I think I'll concentrate on Corbetts too as the Munros are too busy (wait till you see my report from Saturday) and too many paths. West is best for sure.

Hello,
I recall the camp remains on the way towards the other wee ronnie. We thought that it was from a previous century to monitor the comings? of the Jacobite supporters boats. Thanks for correcting our thoughts on this.

Like the others, I'm so so envious of having such beautiful hills and landscape to walk in your local area. And to think that the closest hill I have which comes close to being 'local' is Tinto ... it just doesn't compare lol

I'll need to put that on my ever expanding to-do list :D

What a great route! We were in Ardgour last week and enjoyed going up that way, following your route though we parked at the end of Carnach farmtrack to avoid river crossing. It was a very windy day and with our hill fitness not back to pre lockdown levels there was no way we could have done the full horseshoe. Grand views from the top and the zig zag path part way up was very welcome. Lots of thick vegetation at the moment, some hiding pools of water, which my boots found three times!
