Set off at 0715 at a brisk pace trying to escape the midges back along the track to Glendessarry House and followed the stalkers path north towards Glen Kingie. The path petered out at the watershed so I just made a direct line to the River Kingie and crossed it easily as the water was quite low. From the River Kingie I headed up into Cadha Riabhach following a small stream aiming for the Bealach between Sgurr Beag and Sgurr Mor. I stopped off at a delightful spot beside the stream and soaked my feet in the clear cold water.

I eventually arrived at the bealach I followed an excellent path with lots of zig zags to the Summit of Sgurr Mor. I stopped at the summit for a long time savouring the views and having a leisurely lunch.

Eventually I packed up and headed for home initially eastward along the ridge to the low point on the ridge before descending the steep grass slopes back to the River Kingie.
It was a bit of a slog back up to the watershed as my legs were feeling yesterday’s effort. I picked up the stalkers path and followed it back to the track in Glendessarry and eventually arrived back at my tent.
I quickly packed up my kit and headed for Fort William where I was booked into a very nice bed and breakfast. My cunning plan was changing and I needed a rest day to recharge following 2 tuff days in the hills.
4 down 9 to go.
