I will start off saying at last a clear day on the tops, what can i say about ben starav ,a long and hard walk but very enjoyable was surprised at the size of the boulder field at900mts ,little bit of scrambling had to be done ,just glad there was no wind as some of the drops on left hand side were not for the faint hearted, the views from the top were stunning ,could see all the tops right up glen etive and down to kintyre peninsula, descent down was pretty hard going on the old joints ,at bottom we decided to cross over the river knee deep to save a bit of a trek back to the mini bus it was worth getting wet for especially for my wee sore feet if you like a full day out i would recommend this mountain just for the views itself if you get a good day.just one thing left to say keep to the lower path and bridge on way up, we took the shorter route and ended up fighting our way through 5ft ferns and climbing over fences. :D sorry no pics
