After the previous days exertion on the Woolpack walk (http://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=43965) I woke to unexpectedly good weather - so some breakfast was gobbled, the tent was quickly bundled into the boot and two walks were planned to pick off some smaller Wainwrights.

Firstly Grike and Crag Fell

Then Whinlatter and Brown How. After JKs report on completing a book, I had realised this was all I needed for the NW book and driving over Whinlatter pass on the way back to the M6 presented the ideal opportunity.

Both walks are nice gentle strolls where I really could have done with shorts as it was a little warm. Although I was surprised not to wake up feeling stiff - my muscles were noticing the uphills much more than usual.

Some calories and coffee were grabbed in the visitors centre cafe before heading off back to Bristol. In one of those all too common co-incidences I found myself stood in the queue next to a family I had shared a lunch spot with on Crinkle Crags the previous day.
