We seen an interesting gully leading to the ridge of Beinn Dearg the first time we done these 4 so decided to give it a go this time :D Although very steep, it gets you on to the ridge fast and has great views and a great walk alongside destitution wall 8)

Considering it was built in the 1840s (i think :? ) it's in remarkable condition and well worth the effort to get there :D

P.S the stats from the gps are wrong for this walk, and i don't know why :?

I was standing on the top of that gully a few weeks back. It looked darn steep, particularly at the top...........thanks for confirming it for me  I did wonder at the time if it was doable, although not sure I would want to go down it. As much fun as it looks I'm glad I walked the length of the wall to descend instead.

Another great video by the way

I Did these a couple of years ago and did exactly what you have just filmed, my theory about that short cut gully was, and still is if sheep can go there then there is a fair bet a human can do it too  But looking at my stats I seem to have done them in 6hrs  and that included the cycle to the end of the wood/deer fence. Another great video  it brought back some good memories. :)

I could barely see the wall on the "usual" way up, never mind your gully when we did these.
Still had a cracking day, would love to get back up there.
