Gordie - it's actually one of Anne C's photos - I picked up one of her previous HTML links to get to her flickr account then picked up the BBCode from this photo just to use as example - cheers :)

Hi Iain - it's just a phrase I often think of and use, because it always seem so true.Sorry if you know this - it's attributed to Diogenes (a 4th century Greek philosopher)but has been used a lot by various writers over the centuries, including, I think, the great walker himself, John Muir.
