This was the final day of our Scotland trip and we were looking for something quick so we could hopefully be home by a decent hour on the Sunday night ready for work in the morning.

As we were in the Killin area Meall Ghaordaidh seemed to fit the bill nicely so we camped in a brilliant spot by the river in Glen Lochy and scouted the start of the route on the Saturday night - looked straight forward enough! Met a friendly guy who lived in the Glen who was out walking his dog on the way back to the tent and enjoyed finding out a bit more about the Glen and life in the Highlands as we chatted for half an hour.

We awoke Sunday to rainy weather and mist but we both agreed that we had been lucky the last two days with the weather so maybe this was due.

Not much to say about the walk itself. Very straightforward from the Meall Ghaordaidh sign with the only thing to remember being to go left at the obvious Cairn branching off from the main track.

Quite a steep grassy ascent is followed by a more gradual area before a final pull up some much welcome rocks to the Trig Point.

We followed the same route down making great time and allowing us to have a leisurely drive back to England with a stop for some food on the way. It had been an excellent three days.
