Ticked off this straggler at long last. Well over 3 years since Ben Dubhcraig was summited.

Smashing wee solo walk in glorious sunshine.

Along the track to Cononish farm, straight up pathless steep grassy slopes (gaiters were needed at this stage and for the final part of the walk but stayed very clean!!) and then onto the lumpy bumpy ridge. Well worth the effort for the fantastic views.

Back down to bealach with BD and through the old forest to the non-existent bridge.

Easy crossing of the river which was incredibly low and the normally boggy shite was very firm and caused very few problems. Off to Green Welly for a cup of tea and an eggy piece.

Good to see you got such a nice day for this walk, Polly, esp as it's such a nice route up by the River Cononish......but......gaiters and shorts      ....whatever next ?
That bridge looked like it had seen better days as well - cheers :)

Ha ha you may mock my shorts and gaiters combo but it is ideal for hot days and boggy/long grass conditions.

It does mean that you have very interesting tan/burnt patterns on your legs, as well as the very attractive elastic ring of confidence mark when the gaiters are removed!!!
