I attempted to get this hill done a few months ago but got caught in white out conditions and tracked back to the car.
So not to be defeated I returned yesterday to Ellivreid Farm to start the walk. Arrived about 0900 but never got going until 0940 because I got the craic with the farmer who allows you to park your car at the farm for a while, sound guy!
So away and over a couple of fields.

Through the gap in the trees and past a flock of worried sheep mothers and their lambs, once we established trust they stopped bleeting and carried on munching neeps!

There are a couple of gates on this walk.

It is a steady ascent up Little Lapprach with views acceptable on what was a dull day.

Looking over towards Ben Rinnes in Dufftowns direction.

After an hour I was at the well construced shelter and the trig point for Corryhabbie Hill.

I didn't hang around too long as this did not turn out to be one of the most exciting walks of my life given the day and views. Straight forward walk following Mortons Way and following the same track on the descent.

Once down from the main mound through another gate again with the nice familiar shape of Ben Rinnes in the background.

I came across this tempting property en route back with a bonus static caravan included in the sale, must speak to her indoors about this when I get back.

Quick easy crossing over Corryhabbie Burn (no wet feet today).

Returned to the farm in time for a sandwich and more craic with Mr Giles.

Good to know there is an accomodating farmer up there, especially during lambing season.
It doesn't look the most exciting of hills - may leave that for Winter.

You're right about it nor being exciting as it can be a bit of a heathery slog up ythe Lapprachs. I had to turn back when I tried it in winter, though, The snow weas really too deep and I wished that I had a pair of snow shoes. A quick sprint up Ben Rinnes is much more preferable.
I liked the photos of the property for sale  . We are about to put an old farmhouse up for sale in Glen Rinnes (right beneath the Ben). Ideal home for novice Corbett bagger - start point 1000 feet
