Warning Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.

Friday: A'Bhuidheanach Bheag (Drumochter), 2; Karen , 0 (tko)
For the first time ever, tempted to lie about bagging this one, just so I don't have to go back a THIRD time. It's one bl**dy half of a Drumochter Summit walk, fer cryin' out loud.

Sunday: Beinn a'Charoainn & Beinn Teallach
Total non-starter. What a set of ridiculous and stupid circumstances.

I'm demoralized, defeated, deflated, and disgusted. (At least I can still alliterate.) How is it possible that all of my kit is filthy and soaked, with a big fat nothing to show for it?
