. Ground very dry but still some snow on sides of cliffs by Ben Avon. The reindeer came over to see if we had any food for them but we had to send them away, not good to feed them. The gully down to Ben Avon has a much better path than we thought & good paths all the way.

Great to get down to Loch Avon, still a bit cold for a dip, perhaps on the way back :D

We didn't know we had a scramble to do the carbuncle on the summit, but it isn't that difficult. A great day out.

Warm enough for a quick dip in Ben Avon on the way back

That was a good day we had. Sun all day, me getting scared of the reindeer when they ran up to us. You waved them off with the walking poles. Not too many of the Cairngorms left to do!!!! :D
