Walkhighlands

Due to visions of Bank Holiday hell on the roads, I perhaps overcompensated and left Clackmannanshire before 6am, and was setting off from the ski centre at 7.30am(!).







Fairly straighforward ascent of Meall a'Bhuiridh via Creag Dhubh, although weather started to close in a bit toward the summit. Was glad I'd kept my winter gear packed; big furry gloves were a lifesaver.

Visibility was getting poorer and I did consider turning back, but decided to press on.


Crossing the ridge towards Creise was straighforward apart from the last 6 feet which was steep and icy. I
