Our first hike on the Isle of Skye, and actually our first hike in Scotland at all. As good climbers used to the Swiss mountains we decided to start with this one as it was described as a good introduction to the Cuillin without being too easy either.
It was one of these nice, sunny and warm days of September and the landscape was absolutely fabulous!
The hike itself is very easy at the beginning, it climbs very slowly first, which is a good warm-up. But then after leaving the river path and entering the Fionn Choire the path is getting steeper and steeper until reaching the col. Then there's another 100m on the ridge until the top.
Then we went down the same way.
In general it was a very nice hike, not too hard but still with decent elevation.
