Date approximate but must have been itchy feet brought on by a stretch of bad weather that spawned the lunacy of such an unusually long walk. No matter, I enlisted two other mugs to try this and it actually turned out to be a really enjoyable couple of days.

Weather on day one was inauspicious but fair and we, as far as I recall, had a pleasant enough if uneventful evening in Sourlies. Morning, I think, saw us gleefully accepting another occupant's offer of cooked rainbow trout for breakfast. A bit cloudy outside but with the hint of a break. Enough anyway to encourage us outwards and upwards. This effort, and it was effort, was eventually rewarded with grand views over to Skye and the cloud dramatically parting in the other direction to reveal the glens north and south of our ridge.

A short distance after the first top there is a seemingly yawning gap in the ridge. This came as a particular surprise or shock to the partially sighted member of our party who then had to be talked down the rocky section as he couldn't see it properly. Thereafter an easy if long walk, the second top yielding a view east that showed us just how far we had to go.
