Started in the dark having parked by the church. Up Garburn Pass and then a quick trip left to Sallows and then Sour Howes before retracing my steps and heading up towards Yoke and the traditional Kentmere Horseshoe.
The weather was a bit naff to say the least, some sunny spells but mainly wind and mist, thankfully very little rain fell, which to be honest wouldn't have made much difference if it had as it was so wet under foot. I suppose its always nice to stay as dry as possible.
Only saw 1 other person whilst on the hills although when I got back to the car there were no spaces left.

Warning Please note that hillwalking when there is snow lying requires an ice-axe, crampons and the knowledge, experience and skill to use them correctly. Summer routes may not be viable or appropriate in winter. See winter information on our skills and safety pages for more information.
