Normally you try to save hills like this for the cr@p weather days but this one aint the easiest to get to so I guess you just "do" it and mark it off. I know that philosophy isn't to everyones taste but we are all guilty of ticking lists to some extent or another.

If they were all the same, the anticipation of doing the more illustrious one's wouldn't be there.
They all count, I guess; and I don't mind anyway. Just to get away from the stress of work and to be able to relax and enjoy a day on the hills is enough to keep me happy.
Another one bagged, indeed; my target is to get to 30 by the end of the year.

Cheers for the comment.

  That picture at the summit is just priceless. Interesting report, if it's do-able in 3 hours from Corrour then I might just try a cheeky day trip from Glasgow before the year's out. Cider and beer in the Station House sounds grand as well. :)

If you're quick enough doing Beinn na Lap, you could do the rather tasty looking wee corbett Leum Uilleim - if you were to nip over the other side of the railway line. Looks a nice wee walk around that corrie.

Knew I had a pic somewhere...

True. I've thought about combining it with Creag Ghuanach up by Loch Treig as well, although it would involve a fair walk up there, then along the west ridge of Beinn na Lap as well. Leum Uilleim might be a better bet, if time allows for it.

For those who are unsure of what facilities are (are not) available at Corrour, the link below should help.

SYHA Station House, Corrour.

Hope this helps,
Martin
