Anne and I

A wee trip to Ullapool , with a wee treat of a hotel . DBB for 2 nights £49 squid , not bad eh !

Weather was not great for this weekend

Anne was awfully dissapointed to find that Sgurr nan Ceannaichean had been demoted to a corbett .

It was such a miserable day we decided to leave it out .

Oh Nooooo after uploading suunto route i now have this terrible feeling we did not reach to true summit

oohhhhhhh noooooooooooo

Oops! If you reached a reasonable large well built cairn http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/44525 then you weren't at the summit, which has a rather smaller scruffier one: http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/44523

Never mind - a good excuse to go back on a better day and do both hills!

Did the same a while back on Spidean Mialach in terrible mist. The return trip was a corker though, ended up buying myself a GPS and that mistake almost single handily made up my mind. Once the disappointment and dust has settled your return trip will be a beauty  :D

You kept this wee faux pas a secret, Lou

Loved the JPS comment and the new pic Brian. There's a particularly fine selection of club weekends next year. All top secret just now but if you look at my blue dots it will give you a few clues.

Well, what did Anne say?
Missed you at Aviemore and the vegie meal!
The ridge to the Corbett is by far the most interesting feature of the Munro walk you will have to do again!

Ahhh Moruisg .. I had the same dilemma and thought the only safe thing was to go to both the cairns. I enjoyed the walk without the hassle of doing the ex-Munro. Did wonder how all that tree planting is going to turn out - the little saplings seemed to be struggling

hmmmm hmmmm

I am now starting to think we did actually reach the summit as I am sure we were at 2 cairns as Jmark suggests .

The only reason I am in doubt is because of the map reading below. Any thoughts ?

I'm afraid it's rather unlikely your GPS was out by 300m!

(No, I'm not the Munro police, honest  ).
