Signage at the start of the walk stating something along the lines of......"DO NOT ENTER.....DANGEROUS TREES....UNSAFE". The dog gave his opinion by cocking a leg on the sign. Not a good start.

David and I made the decision to "walk up the track to see what it's like" Alice went into full lawyer mode and got grumpy to boot. She's a bit of a stickler for rules our girl. She made her feelings quite clear by moaning/ haranguing/ lecturing as we ascended the Somme-inspired track .

The track. Very gloopy

We kept as far from the trees as possible (which looked fairly benign to be honest) and did not stray from the gloopy track.

Out towards the viewpoint
A simple there and back again took us to the viewpoint above the forest. The views were great and the indicactor made it simple to identify the peaks.

Stunning views

Returned exactly the same way and bathed our orange dog in the burn until he emerged black and white again (not to mention a stone lighter).

This route was 3.9miles in total. Walked by Sarah, David, Alice and Nudge
