Ten years ago we went on a trip along the north coast. Ben Loyal was first on the agenda.
A ten minute trudge through cow pats saw us onto the relatively dry path from the north. This way up hides the drama of the north west facing crags for most of the way, the path heading round to the eastern slopes first. There are good views east though on the way up but it is only once on the summit plateau that the crags and sea back drop can be appreciated.
We didn't take in all the tops / tors but visited the closest four. If I ever return, which I'd like to, I'd like to include the ridge out to Sgor Chleirich.
