A wee trip to Linn of Dee for our starting point this weekend. Pitched the tent in the carpark of all places as the campsite was closed, but not too shabby!
Headed up the corbett Sgor Mor and Weaselmasters last Cairngorm munro top Carn Cloich-Mhuilinn on Saturday. Could see some snow in the distance on the higher tops but didn't really come across much ourselves but the wind at the top made up for it......blowing a hoolie!!!
Back to the car park just as the light was going and got settled in for a rather chilly night. Snow started to patter on the tent some time through the night and woke to a light layer on the ground in the morning.
Headed along to Linn of Quoich to park for the walk up Carn na Drochaide. Snow was deeper once out of the shelter of the trees. Great views initially as the weather was quite clear for a while but closed in on us nearer the summit. The wind also hit us pretty hard at this point too, so it was a quick touch of the top and back down again. Snow was pretty bad on the roads home and we passed a number of accidents, but himself keep the head and got us home safe
