The weather report was encouraging as we headed down to Boot Camp for another epic day in the Alps.
Four new recruits and two dogs were going to attempt the Cobbler!
Hunter the Akita Yeti Slayer was designated as the new mascot to clear the path ahead and keep us safe as we blazed a trail through the Alps
We took the usual zigzag path up to Bubbas Creek and stopped for a rest whilst Bubba went in for his usual dip to cool off.
As a bit of extra entertainment, Bubba had also chosen to complete his 'Ice Bath Challenge' in the ice cold mountain riverof the Ailt a Bhalachain, which runs into Bubbas Creek creating an ideal natural rock pool to cool down in after the 40min slog up from Succoth car park where we usually kick off from.
So with the help of Graham and Colin chucking the water, Davie looking after Hunter and Blue and 'Zoola' on camera we managed to complete the first challenge of the day before heading on up the track to bag the Cobbler.
Feeling completely refreshed after his Ice Bath Challenge and quick paddle in the creek, Bubba got changed back into more sensible attire for a walk in the Scottish Highlands and joined the rest of the crew who had been munching on their sandwiches and enjoying the warm sunshine.
Graham takes the lead for a while after leaving Bubbas Creek.
We carried on up the path towards the Cobbler rising in the distance.
Zoola enjoys being outdoors and having fun with the Hunter and Blue as well as the banter from the boys.
Zoola gies Hunter a warm, friendly cuddle and softens him up
Hunter is normally out there eating bears and yetis
But today he is quite content to tag along with Blue and the Boot Camp crew.
Zoola makes sure Blue is not left out of the cuddles and attention. Obviously a dog lover
Zoola is giving a talk to the lads on mountain etiquette in the great outdoors and the lads are listening lol.
Bubba and Graham larking about on Hunters Rock.
Zoola gets sandwiched by Graham and Davie
Bubba and Hunter reach the top with Zoola first and get some selfies in whilst waiting for the others
Summit selfies are the best :-0 Well done to everyone for bagging the Cobbler
Bubba about to set Hunter free to go search for a Yeti!
Blue and Hunter getting to know each other.
Hunter guards our rucksacks at the foot of The Cobbler whilst we take a break.
Looks like Hunter has caught the 'scent' and is straining to 'go find'
Zoola shouting on the boys to get a move on and to stop larking about at the foot of the The Cobbler swigging whisky.
Move it lads
We stopped for more selfies on the way back down Butter Burn trail having completed the mission.
Bubba and Colin stop at Blue Rock for photo with Blue and Ben Lomond in the backdrop.
We reached the Narnain Boulders just in time for our Ribeye Steak Take Away as is Boot Camp tradition.
Even Blue and Hunter got there share of the steakfest
Looking back at the Cobbler on the way back down the Butter Burn track.
