A long time coming , have eyed this up for years now , me and Alan headed off in darkness at 6.15 got there earlier than expected so waited for first light and started walking at 8.45. Slightly disappointed in lack of ice and snow cause the bikes would have saved some time, great long walk passing through glen shortly after poet duncan ban macintyres cottage remains which is now being used for sheep sheering, and after many river crossings we hit the path at the railway sleeper bridge were the burn from beinn mhanach runs to loch Lyon , it's a very steep relentlous climb to summit we followed a line of fence posts on the right almost to top and returned same way , a cold but a really really enjoyable walk and one I would do again no problem
