Initially I planned to climb Aonach Mor and Aonach Beag by way of the Glen Nevis. Bad weather was predicted and alas I had to change my plan. I chose for the Nevis Range and walked on a desolated mountain bike track. The rain was pouring, the winds were vicious and I only managed to make it to the Snowgoose Restaurant. Continuing to the summit was out of the question.

Hi ere1, I feel so sorry for you that the one week you chose to walk in Scotland the weather was pants!
Hopefully in May you will be able to take the more scenic route through Glen Nevis!

Hi Silverhill! In two weeks time I’ll be back in the Highlands! Aonach Mor and Anoach Beag are back on my list. Of course I’m hoping for beautiful views but if the weather lets me down bad it won’t change my spirit.

Hi Peter, I wish you great and successful trips when you get back here, hope the weather will be more gentle to you this time....but I'm sure you will enjoy the Highland anyway
