Some nice pictures there. I walk by myself a lot and find the 10 second timer on my cannon nowhere long enough to get good selfies . Unfortunately I don't know what camera you use but if it helps Amazon etc sell wireless remote shutter releases which means no more rushing about trying to beat the timer, there small , cheap and easy to setup on the camera. Mine was a Pixel RW-221/E3 Wireless Shutter Remote £21 off Amazon. just to give you an idea.

Thank you for your experience and the idea about the wireless remote shutter...I am using the 10 sec. timer and mostly it is enough, but good to try sometning more helpful...cheers
