First walk report, nothing too exciting though they is some lovely sunshine the wind is a bit on the strong side but at least I can have a go at doing a walk report on here! So decided to just go to the local forest and have a wander around there instead!

Following the trail along the deer fence

Come on this way...

Long straight forestry trail...this one led to a road but didn't want to go onto the road...

...so we decided to cut across the farm field along the edge of the field to see if we could get onto the other forestry track on the other side!

And it worked! Though I should have crossed onto the other side of the burn when I reached the road to the farm as there is no ditch to cross on that side! Radio tower and farm, good markers!

We could have just headed back the way we came at this point, but Fly started heading down a different trail and as we were in no hurry I figured why not and let her lead the way!

Why does Millie have to get in the way?

Fly started going faster and faster along the trail and I had to keep calling her back so she didn't disappear as there were other trails branching off and we could have lost each other, she might have known where she was going but I didn't!

Fly's destination, don't know how she did it but she found the paths we needed to get to the pool in the forest where she often goes swimming, but we always come in from the other side!

After the dogs had their swim we headed back along the forestry trails. Not the longest distance but with the dogs left free to run around they certainly got a lot of exercise! And despite being a Sunday we didn't see many other people there at all!

Now, to see if this report looks like it should...
