Joining the chorus... Congratulations on reaching 200!

Liathach is a "monster" mountain, but well worth taming  I have to climb it again some time.

What a way to claim your 200th Munro! Great report and pics. Can't wait to do this in the summer. In your opinion would my border (mountain) collie be able to do this or will I have to convince the wife to look after him for the day?

Eeek indeed! Been there many times but only one winter traverse which was enough.

In my opinion a dog would be able to do the walk as long as you stick to the bypass. There are some other scrambling bits, but a dog would be able to walk around them (steep grassy slope) or with a helping hand from you , would be able to manage the rocky parts.

Everyone else many thanks for all your lovely comments! :D

Great report and photos, ML, and congratulations on the 200. I've done both these on separate outing but want to do the by-pass path with NO snow! Very inspirational report.

Glad I waited to see these pics on a proper screen :D Absolutely brilliant Maja, you couldn't have picked a better one for the 200 and on a day such as this too. It is truly a mountain for memories :D Sometimes a bypass is not so easy. Great report and congratulations

Epic report! Don't think I could stomach crossing those snow filled gullies though, I think I'd rather risk the pinnacles, you must have nerves of iron!

I doubt you could get a better day for Liathach - impressive stuff :D . It was still looking great yesterday - would love to have been on it. I had intended to do it with a mate in winter conditions about 12 years ago, but we got up too late. It was only after that I discovered the pinnacles traverse was a grade II or III winter climb  .
