Walked with Andrew on Sunday afternoon. Lovely early spring day although hazy conditions prevented distant views.

Managed to cut my hand on a rusty nail when going over the style next to the summit of Wansfell :( Went to the doctor's surgery the next day and had a tetanus booster - just as well as the last one I had was in 1997!!

Nevertheless an enjoyable little walk.

View from style near our parking place at Church Bridge, looking up to Troutbeck village

On Nanny Lane above Troutbeck showing repair work being undertaken

Andrew heading along Nanny Lane

Heading alongside the wall after reaching the end on Nanny Lane

View towards Red Screes and Kirkstone Pass

Not sure of the summit, here I am on Baystones with true summit on Wansfell behind me

Andrew on Wansfell summit, the undulating ridge to Wansfell Pike behind him

....and this time me!!

On Wansfell Pike looking back along the ridge to Wansfell

And a final shot of Windermere
