Aye, it's all too often like that - clears up when you're halfway back !

I was up MC on a roasting day in July. Bland summit but nice enough walk.

Couldn't move for grouse. Hundreds of them. Captured a few on video and pinged it to my boss who loves shooting. He fainted with excitement :lol:

Thanks for posting your walk report. Better do one myself this summer!

Yup, it happens to me more often than not. I suspect getting an early start and being on the summits early isn't helping my cause :lol:

There was certainly a lot of grouse in that area. And some of them were a lot cockier than usual. Rather than scurrying away, they were standing their ground! Or at least they tried until they decided I was getting a little too close lol

If you were hunting there it would difficult not to bag your dinner :lol:
