Erie, round 2

Original plan was to do Erie Hill with the White Combe range, but bad weather put paid to that idea. So round two was started from the small road from Tweedsmuir which heads towards Fruid reservoir. Parked by the gate to Silver Jubilee road aka logging track. A nice notice was put on the gate saying if the gate was padlocked then deer culling with high powered rifles was happening, 3 big padlocks kinda indicated this was the case!!
The walk began on very good track, with great views down the valley and a lovely but probably lonely old ruined house.
The track leads straight to the bottom of Erie Hill it's self. We left the track and we headed towards a small plantation on the right with a disused deer seat. Then headed straight for the stone wall/fence line, not easy walking, hummocky ground under foot and a bit soggy.
Heading up the hill, we went through a gate to follow an ATV track to the summit.
Fantastic veiws from the summit.
Way back was just to re-trace our steps.
