Alex, Johnny and I set off for Glen Etive to do Ben Starav and Glas Beinn Mhor with a view to doing Beinn nan Aighenan if the weather behaved. The area was busy, people could be seen on almost all the paths and hills in the area, we headed up Ben Starav first and it was clear the weather although giving us the odd hail shower and with a chill on the wind was actually quite good. We could see some weather passing over Ben Nevis but we managed to miss it. All in all it was a good walk, the only confusing thing is when we came back off Beinn nan Aighenan instead of continuing back to the path for Ben Starav and Glas bheinn Mhor we headed straight up the hill and met the path further on the walk, despite this shortcut our trip according to my Garmin etrex 30 was almost 300 metres longer than the same trip in Cameron McNeish's book, anyone have any ideas how that could happen

Looks a good view down Loch Etive.
