Well I was not expecting the wintry conditions !

Anne and I had stayed at the hostel the night before so we had a bit of a lie in and started heading up the hill at 10 am.

The boys were not far behind us as we seen them speeding along the road around 10:30 , so only half an hour behind us They probably will catch us up just in tine for lunch on the first summit Spidean Mialach. !!!!!!!

Ok.... the boys still no where to be seen...that's strange.......

Anne and I start to head off to the second summit of the day only to see the boys racing up Gleouriach !!!!
How did they manage that ???
Ahhhhhhhhhhh the boys had mistaken the small cairn as the true summit
Three committee members and a Gordie had got lost ( half a kilometre and about 50 metres of ascent difference) ....granted it was poor conditions
The boys were well ahead of us and we realised that it would not be before we reached the car that we would be able to inform them
What a hard slog these 2 were . I have to say that these 2 in snow make for a hard day.

Eventually get to the car to realise poor Anne had a puncture from the bloody pot hole we had hit on the way along the road GUTTEDD :( :(
Annes new car had the new "revolutionary" bottle of squidgy stuff you are supposed to pour into tyre to patch.

What a lot of guff ! It only last 6 miles and that road is at least 14 miles until you hit even a main road , so we attempted to pump it up with air a few times to try and at least get to the main road however the tyre got much worse and we had to abandon the car . :(

Thankfully the boys had trailed us so we piled into Brians car.

The only saving grace was being able to rip the lads about getting lost.

Poor Anne had to call the break down service who had to take her into Fort William

The boys were well ahead of us

But it looks like Anne and I missed the summit too
