Quick, short & great meeting at misty Buachaille Etive Beag

One week after the great Aonach Eagach ridge walk I wanted do some Munros near the beautiful area..because of a week day asnd my later start I decided for something shorter and easier. Arrived to Glencoe in daylight ( unusually ) I stoped at the car park - start point for Buachaille Etive Beag...no any car there yet, made some photos from area around and then continued driving down to see how looks Sgorr Dhearg & Sgorr Dhonuill ( Beinn a'Bheithir ). Beinn a'Bheithir was under dark clouds, summits not visible so I decided return back and try to do the Buachaille Etive Beag.

I got to the car park again and there was one car only ( The Rodmiester & Happyfeet completing their "Isle of Skye Whisky Challenge" as I found out later there in the Hills )

Shortly after start of my walk I saw two people above on the path and I guessed that they are from the car at the car park. We met later, spoke shortly, introduced each other and then I continued my walk up to Stob Coire Raineach as 1st summit of B.E.B. It was Rod ( The Rodmiester ) scottish Hillwalker and Emmelie ( Happyfeet ) from Danmark.

On the summit of Stob Dubh I met Rod & Emmelie again as they did the Stob Dubh first before Stob Coire Raineach. We made some summit photos each other there, then they started the way to the Stob Coire Raineach ( disappeared in the mist ) and I was discovering the area around the Stob Dubh summit.

We met again on the path down, spoke again, exchanged our contacts, made some photos together and Rod told me more about the WH website, which I used before sometime for planning my mountains trips, but I was not registered. Then we wished a nice day each other, said good bye and split our ways: Me back down to the car park and they to the Stob Coire Raineach summit. Then I registered myself at this WH website next day...thanks Rod

Nice one Petr, glad you joined, some fabulous reports you have put on site already. This is very timely posted, guess where I'm headed in two weeks time, yes another Compleation on the Buachaille Etive Beag, just hope we get a view from the summit

thanks Rod I'm sure you will enjoy the Buachaille Etive Beag in any conditions, but I hope and wish you the best possible weather there. Looking forward to read your report then and some photos from both summits to see the view which we missed last time there
