Oh you met Bill :) He is a fine character.. He also has a temporary bus stop that he likes to put out to confuse folk into thinking there is a service up to the lodge :lol:

Bill is a great supporter of the TGO and there are usually a lot of challengers going via Loch Callater. You always get a great welcome from Bill and maybe a dram or 2 if you are lucky!

Same as car park at Crathie where we parked last week to climb Conachcraig and after a long drive were about to use the very useful toilet block to find it closed at 8.30 am and still closed when we returned late afternoon. Disappointing after paying our £3 - and not in the best interests of protecting the environment either! :?
